Edit - Date Area (Updated: 7 April 2011)
Return to User’s Help Guide Menu for Editors - Edit Section
Instructions: The Date Area can be edited by the Editor and a Date that has been previously published can be changed to a different specific Date. The following Date settings can be modified (see Sample Date Area below):
A. Entry Date - this is the primary Date associated with an Entry. The Editor may use the Interactive Calendar to modify the Date and can set the Time. If the Editor specifies a Date in the future, the system will not display the Entry until the Date has arrived.
B. Expiration Date - the Editor may optionally specify / change the Expiration Date for the Entry, causing the System to no longer show the Entry anywhere on your website after that Date. The Editor may also use an Interactive Calendar to set the Date / Time.
C. Comment Expiration Date - the Editor may optionally specify / change a Date on which Comments for this Entry will no longer be accepted. Once the Date passes, the Entry will act as though the “Allow Comments” check-box (see “Edit - Options Area”) is unchecked. The Editor may also use the Interactive Calendar to set the Date and change the Time.
