Workstation Specifications
for Voyager Clients

The following summary of recommended Workstation Specifications has been established by the Ex Libris Group for Voyager. These specifications have been provided to help GIL Libraries plan for workstation replacement/upgrade to support Voyager 6.5.x and beyond.

It is also recommended (if not already in place) that each Library inventory its workstations, and work to establish a 3 year replacement/upgrade schedule. The purpose of this schedule would be to evaluate 1/3 of a Library's workstations every year and make appropriate upgrades/replacements.

We are all aware of how fast technology is changing, but the pace of change may impact some staff more than others. In addition, some upgrades may be for non-technical reasons - for example, reviewing staff monitor sizes. Making appropriate replacements such as replacing all 15" monitors could help improve workflow and productivity.
