The vanguard institutions continue testing their Alma vanguard pre-production environment. They have worked through a host of data checking tasks and are now testing workflow scenarios. The issues being identified are documented and escalated back to the vendor for further review. Testing in May will include validating external authentication configurations, student information system loads, Primo (OPAC) interface validation, and Universal Borrowing. Vanguard progress will be shared during GUGM 2016!

The vanguards and the functional project teams are currently using their "Data Checking" lists to validate their data that has been migrated from Voyager to Alma. As concerns are identified, they are being documented and sent to our vendor for analysis. Once the three vanguards are comfortable with their data, the teams will begin testing workflow scenarios (Mid April).

A major milestone was achieved today with the release of the Alma vanguard pre-production environment. This environment contains:

1. data migrated from each of the vanguard's Voyager databases
2. configurations according to the specifications of the vanguards

The month of April is dedicated to testing this environment. The vanguards have created a testing plan and will document the results.
